On "The Pixar Touch"

  • Pixar director Andrew Stanton:
"My personal view is that if you go into things on a pulpit or with an agenda in the creative world, it can easily get in the way of your creativity and quality. . . . Be Christ-like in everything you do, no worrying about whether you're furthering the cause."
This is reminiscent of Flannery O'Connor's view of art and creativity in "Mystery and Manners: Occasional Prose."
  • Pixar's success was no accident they worked hard and kept going when everything was going wrong.
  • Pixar's story reminded me that I must work hard on my own dreams especially the ones that have been dormant for a while. Ben Arment wrote on this topic recently.
