Busy, but Learning

I've been very busy lately and haven't posted anything in a while. I finished a sermon this week from 1 John 2:15-17, so it has been filtering through my head and heart lately. Here's what I learned, what I am learning, and the idea of the sermon:

When it is God we love and who makes us happy and yet at the same time we try to be happy without God the way the lost world of men does, we are inconsistent and foolish. So stop it.

This has the potential to be a powerful sermon. It amazes me the number of Christians that don't "get" this concept. There is peace and freedom in the happiness that God provides by obedience to Him.

Thanks, this concept seems so obvious but it's tough. You're right, there is peace in deciding whom will we love and obey.
